In the first week of July, top officials of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will gather in the national capital for their annual provincial propagators' meeting. This three-day event, commencing on July 4, will be presided over by RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale. Traditionally, this meeting serves as a platform to review the roles of full-time propagators, and occasionally, they are assigned to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), although such assignments have not occurred recently.
Significance of the Meeting
The timing of this meeting is crucial, coinciding with expectations of the BJP announcing its new national president. The high-level gathering will focus on reviewing organizational activities, enhancing internal coordination, and planning future initiatives. A significant agenda item will be the preparations for the RSS centenary celebrations, which are expected to involve widespread participation across the country.
Participants and Agenda
The meeting will see participation from 11 regional heads, 46 propagators, and senior RSS volunteers from various provinces. It will also assess training sessions held in May and June, finalizing the outline for next year's programs. The aim is to enhance internal coordination and strategize for upcoming organizational milestones and socio-national initiatives.
